Sometimes it is a good idea to hit the top 30 major cities with a few postcard campaigns, however, only do this IF you got some results from the first campaign. If you don't see results, keep moving to new areas until you do.

Like fishing, find a spot a keep it in your notes for next month.

Also on average it takes 7-12 exposures before someone makes a buying decision...

So sending 2 or 3 campaigns to a few major cities though out the years is a good idea.

You can also keep up on the news, for example, Florida right now is very wealthy and many people are looking to move to FL.

Other states like California are struggling and people are leaving, so CA might not be the best.

So apply some thought to your marketing.

And when you see results from your campaigns, learn from it and repeat the same successful steps you did before.
